ETHTaipei is currently in full swing. There’s a main conference on 21st and 22nd March. You can also visit one of the various side events, between 19th and 25th March. Furthermore, there’s a hackathon between the 22nd and 25th March. So, there’s plenty of action. Vitalik Buterin was a keynote speaker on the first day. Morpheus Labs is one of the event sponsors.

So, let’s find out why Morpheus Labs is sponsoring this year’s edition of ETHTaipei.

What Is Morpheus Labs?

Morpheus Labs has all the tools to help Web2 firms make the switch to Web3. Their protocol offers low code features that make for smooth transitions. This is an attractive proposal for plenty of Web2 firms. Many of these firms want to get into Web3. However, they don’t always know how to do this.

That’s where Morpheus Labs fits into the picture. With their tools and knowledge, they can take Web2 firms by the hand. Once these firms transform, they have a solid working product for Web3. Their transition packages can include, but are not limited to,

  • Coin creation.
  • Smart contracts.
  • Audits.
  • Websites.

Their main product is SEED. That’s their blockchain-as-a-service platform. This platform offers various features, for example,

  • Workflow studio — This is a low-code automation platform.
  • Smart contract studio. — Low-code streamlining of all facets from development to deploying smart contracts. The studio can, for example, design, test, or review a smart contract. Adding low code tools brings innovation to the crypto space.
  • Collaborative Development Environment (CDE) — This tool reduces the need for coding. It’s a ready-to-use solution. It’s like a visual interface.
  • Template solutions — Pre-built Web3 templates for Dapps.
  • Multichain infrastructure — Make full use of an AI powered multichain infrastructure. This will streamline your smart contracts.

This gives you an idea of the available options that Morpheus Labs offers. But existing Web3 firms can also use these tools. These AI-powered low-code tools make Dapp development and testing easy. That’s one of the reasons why Morpheus Labs sponsors the ETHTaipei convention. Here’s our introduction article on Morpheus Labs.

Morpheus Labs and the ETHTaipei Convention

Sponsoring the ETHTaipei convention has various advantages for Morpheus Labs. First, their name will be all over the convention. That’s good for brand recognition. Furthermore, The Asian crypto market is a growing market. Statista expects an annual growth rate of 8.75%. The total expected revenue amount in 2028 is $2.5 billion. In 2024 the revenue growth stands at $1.78 billion.

So, it’s an attractive market to position yourself and your project. That’s exactly what Morpheus Labs is doing. Sponsoring the convention also opened other options for the team. For example, co-founder, Bruce Lu, headed a workshop. That was all about speeding up dApp development and testing it. That happens with AI-powered low-code tools. Another great way to expose Morpheus Labs to a bigger audience.

Hands on, in real-life presentations are the best. Bruce Lu took full advantage of that. And that takes us to another part of the convention. There was also a hackathon. Here’s where Morpheus Labs stepped up. They added a prize pool of $1,500. Hackathons are events where developers try to improve existing products.

ETHTaipei Hackathon

Hackathons are places of innovation. As a developer, you can present your ideas there. If the organizer or sponsors of the hackathon like your idea, you most likely receive a reward. These rewards are often in the way of financial support. That way, the devs can continue and improve their ideas.

Morpheus Labs challenged developers to bring their ideas to Morpheus’ SEED product. SEED stands for Solution Environment for Enterprise Development. The challenge was to bring their ideas to life with 2 SEED features. These are the Smart Contract Studio and Workflow Studio. As pointed out earlier. You can earn part of the $1,500 prize money as follows,

  • 1st place: $500
  • 2nd place: $300
  • 3rd place: $200
  • Most Innovative Prize, 2 times $250.

The two most innovative solutions will receive this last prize. It’s a great way to bring Morpheus Labs’ concept to developers. If they come up with good ideas, it may also improve SEED. However, most importantly, it adds to the variety of use cases SEED already has. See the picture below for the hackathon prize pool.
