OpenCart integrates Crypto.com Pay plugin

Popular cryptocurrency fintech platform Crypto.com has announced that its payment app checkout plugin is now available on the e-commerce platform OpenCart.

OpenCart has over 900,000 merchants and can now accept payments in digital currencies. Speaking on the announcement, the crypto fintech platform disclosed that the app plugin launch will be available in over 130 countries where OpenCart currently exists. Therefore making it possible for merchants on the e-commerce platform to accept crypto payments using Crypto.com Pay Checkout Plugin.

According to an official blog post, cryptocurrencies accepted on the platform include BTC, ETH, LTC, Ripple XRP, and Crypto.com native token CRO. However, plans are in place to include more digital assets in the near future. Merchants have the option of converting their crypto to either the US Dollars or the Euro. This, in essence, will protect them from price volatility issues. Crypto.com also allows merchants to issue invoices using email.

As an incentive to OpenCart merchants, they will be required to pay no settlement fee for the first six months in the platform. Customers making payments with CRO will also receive pay rewards in CRO tokens.

The fintech platform has put in several security measures to prevent any form of irregularities or fraudulent activities. Subsequently becoming one of the foremost companies to receive a CCSS Level 3, ISO27001:2013, ISO/IEC 27701:2019 certification. It is also a PCI:DSS 3.2.1, Level 1 compliant platform.
