Open-world action role-playing game Stormrite has announced a partnership with Enjin, a gaming blockchain platform, to explore an NFT integration.
In an announcement on Enjin’s blog, Stormrite stated that its plans to bring eco-friendly cosmetic NFTs to their platform have begun.
Also, the NFT items will be redeemable in-game and will modify the appearance of the player’s equipment and companions. Therefore, As part of the buildup to the game’s release on PC and Xbox in 2022, Stormrite NFTs will be released regularly.
On the other hand, Stormrite’s future release plans include a publicly available steam demo in early 2022, with a full release for PC and XBOX planned thereafter.

Stormrite: 18 Months in Development
The team said that they have been working on the game for over a year and a half on its Kickstarter page, which had raised $56,600 at the time.
That is to say, Enjin is the logical choice for a gaming partner since it has a range of products that allow developers of all sizes to integrate NFTs in innovative ways. The Enjin team created the ERC-1155 NFT standard in 2017 when it launched the first NFT minting platform.
In addition, the announcement stated: “We’ve chosen to partner with Enjin because along with their status in the world of gaming NFTs. They are also committed to decarbonizing NFTs. By adopting Enjin’s Jumpnet blockchain, all of the NFTs we integrate into stormrite will be carbon-negative.”
The announcement also added that players that do not purchase Stormrite NFTs would not see their gameplay experience altered at all. They stated: “Stormrite will be a 100% single-player experience with no pay-to-win features, and we will never deviate from this.”

Because of this, NFTs will become things in the player’s inventory when redeemed. Also, the stats will remain the same, but the item will look like the NFT and be unique. “This is to avoid any pay-to-win situations that could ruin the gameplay experience,” it said.
ENJ Token Update
On the other hand, Enjin Coin has gained 2.8% on the day to reach $2.09 at the time of writing, according to CoinGecko. ENJ has been flat over the past week but has notched up a gain of 36% over the past fortnight.
The gaming blockchain token hit an all-time high of just below $4 on April 9 but has declined 47% since those heights. Further partnerships with gaming companies could see momentum renewed for ENJ.
